Red is a Scotland-based filmmaker and photographer creating high-impact visuals for brands that live outdoors.
Hi! My name is Rory Edwards but I go by the nickname Red.
Fueled by a deep love for the mountains and a background in competitive freeride skiing, I first picked up a camera to capture the energy and beauty of the sports I lived and breathed. That passion quickly evolved into a professional path, starting in the marketing department at Cardrona Alpine Resort in New Zealand.
Since then, I’ve worked with global brands like Red Bull, Monster Energy, InFlite, GoPro, Canyon Brewing, Powder Byrne, The British Army and Movember; delivering dynamic content that blends technical precision with authentic storytelling. I was also the lead content creator for Stomp It Tutorials, the most-watched ski channel on YouTube, where I handled an entire winter’s worth of high-performing video content that now has over 7.5m views on YouTube alone.
My time in the British Armed Forces gave me a rare edge: the ability to plan and execute under extreme pressure and in harsh environments. That operational discipline now fuels my expedition-based projects and allows me to thrive in remote, logistically challenging environments - whether thats the backcountry, the ocean, or the desert.
A lifelong skier, climber, mountain biker, and surfer, I draw creative inspiration directly from the outdoors. I specialize in outdoor, mountain, and action sports media, working across commercial and documentary formats. At the core of everything I create is a simple goal: to tell raw, human stories in wild, beautiful places.
